Rose and/or Lavender Graduation Celebration Class Speaker Nomination

Annually, the GSRC organizes two distinct affinity graduation celebrations that help drive our mission of fostering a supportive and inclusive campus community that affirms women, fem, trans, and queer Princetonians.

  • Rose Graduation Celebration is a ceremony celebrating women and fem accomplishments and achievements

  • Lavender Graduation Celebration is a ceremony celebrating queer and trans accomplishments and achievements

Please note, our affinity graduation celebrations and class speaker nominations are open to all graduating Princeton University students regardless of identity.

Gender + Sexuality Resource Center Awards

    • Debbie Bazarsky Service to the LGBTQIA+ Community Award

      • Acknowledges contribution to and involvement in Princeton LGBTQIA+ life and recognizes enduring commitment to building community and educating the campus about LGBTQIA+ issues. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible for this award.

    • Building Bridges Award

      • Recognizes tremendous effort to serve the LGBTQIA+ community through building coalitions across groups at Princeton University. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible for this award.

    • Student Changemaker Award

      • Recognizes outstanding contribution to raising awareness of need and being a voice for change at Princeton University and the surrounding community around LGBTQIA+ affirmation. Students (both undergraduate and graduate) are eligible for this award.

    • Sue Anne Steffey-Morrow Rainbow Award

      • Recognizes extraordinary service and outstanding leadership going far beyond the call of duty to support and build the LGBTQIA+ campus community and to promote LGBTQIA+ issues and awareness at Princeton University. Students (both undergraduate and graduate) are eligible for this award.

    • The Queer Princeton Alumni Recognition Award

      • The Princeton QPA Recognition Award, in the amount of $500, will be awarded to a Princeton undergraduate or graduate student that has demonstrated leadership around LGBTQIA+ community needs.

      Please note, our awards nominations are open to all current Princeton University students, and staff/faculty members where noted, regardless of identity.

    • Women’s Center Legacy Award

      • Awarded to a student (undergraduate or graduate) who embodies the mission and legacy of the women’s center and its new work in the GSRC. They strive to uplift women and fem stories and experiences.

    • Student Changemaker Award

      • Recognizes commitment and outstanding contribution to raising awareness and being an activist and voice for change at Princeton University and in the surrounding community. Students (both undergraduate and graduate) are eligible for this award.

    • Building Bridges Award

      • Recognizes tremendous effort to serve the women & fem community through building coalitions across groups at Princeton University. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible for this award. 

    • Faculty/Staff Gender Equity Award

      • This award recognizes a Princeton faculty, staff, or administrator whose advocacy has been instrumental in striving for gender equity on campus or in the broader community.
